The Beck family has been fortunate to spend 80 years serving the Eastern PEI communities and beyond. The business began in 1932 in Montague as the Globe Grocery. In 1934 the Globe Grocery unfortunately had a fire, but was able to reopen as Stewart & Beck General Merchants in 1934. The Beck family is nothing if not determined!
Since the beginning Beck’s has offered affordable heating and cooling equipment designed for the Island climate. Wood stoves, cook ranges, oil and wood furnaces are just some of the quality products offered. Times continue to change and technology now provides us with a rugged line of Heat Pump Systems to suit your needs and our trusted brands are from the Keeprite Group of Companies. Born and raised in a small community, Alisa is no stranger to hard work and dedication. Growing up she was involved in a wide variety of sports, attending National and Canada Games Competitions, Alisa developed team building qualities and an urge to grow and succeed. After working in the Beck family business since her early teen years, Alisa knew at a young age that her passion in life was to design and execute Home Décor projects; to transform spaces to their full potential. This passion led to an education that would help her one day launch her own studio. Alisa graduated from the bookkeeping program at Holland College and has a diploma in Interior Decorating. Her style is unique, affordable and specific to each environment. Alisa approaches every day in business with a new enthusiasm. As a busy mom of three active children, she looks forward to helping you create a unique and comfortable space for your family!
Ryan Beck
Owner | Senior Residential Mechanical Installer
Ryan has grown up alongside his father in the home heating business. After graduating from the Business Retail Sales & Marketing Program at Holland College, his hard work and dedication led him to an opportunity to take over the heating segment of the family operation. Ryan is a passionate worker and takes great pride in the family name and workmanship that his father and grandfather before him have given. Ryan has many years experience installing and servicing Heating, Cooling & Ventilation systems. He is WETT & HRAI certified as well as a Licensed Oil Tank Installer. Ryan prides himself in doing a clean installation of equipment every time. He looks forward to creating lasting relationships with his current and new clients and plans on many more years of quality service and dedication.
